It’s my third day in US, and I am standing in line at the San Jose State Bursar’s office. I need to get my course enrollment paperwork complete. My friend’s tell me a women named “Cindy” can help me out.
As I wait in line, I day dream about my new life in America, my hopes, my dreams, and….oh, cute American girls, I throw a quick smile at them, and stare. Looks like my new country has a lot to offer 
My turn finally arrives. I step up to the plate. Hmmm..so this is Cindy. Now quite what I imagined.
I’m on an Indian DL (distribution list) at work, where mainly Indian folks exchange information, post classifieds, etc. I recently came across a request from someone named Jyothi, who is looking for a carpool buddy from Fremont. Whoa!
Perfect, nah? So I respond, we exchange contact info, and a few minutes later I get a call from the person. So I answer, and it’s a guy. What the freak? When did Jyothi’s become guys. That’s like having a male Jessica. Doesn’t make sense. Anyhow, I think to myself, it’s okay, whatever saves me time and money. We agree to begin carpooling today, Monday.
It took me good 6 hours to find out a way to change the WordPress address URL in the General Settings after I got locked out of the Admin portal from my blog.
There are times when want to change the WordPress Address URL. What if you do that and get locked out your site. If you change the WordPress address URL and Blog Address URL, so that it looks something like

My recent (first ever) visit to an auto car wash station was funny, interesting, and definitely worth sharing. So there are two ways to you can get your car auto washed. One is to fill the gas first and get the coupon which the machine will offer while printing the receipt. There are 3 different $2, $4, $6 depending on the type of car wash you want. The other way is to directly move up to the auto car wash area and put the coins/bills in the coin machine and proceed.
So here it goes .. my first mystery shopping experience. Mystery shopping was an alien term for me until one of my “American friend” told me about it. The way she explained made me feel that its all about making quick money, eating for free, talking to people, and what not. It sounded so fascinating and I just couldn’t wait … and I enrolled for it.
Mystery shopping is an activity carried out by people or mystery shoppers. Mystery shoppers posing as normal customers perform specific tasks—such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way – and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences.
